The pool facilities were amazing, we spent hours swimming and sunbathing. Plus, the location was perfect for us party-loving teenagers. We were right at the beginning of a lively promenade where we found the coolest bars and clubs. We also loved the big balcony in our room, perfect for hanging out and enjoying the sea view.
The only thing we wished for was a dedicated party area at the hotel. It would have been so much fun to have a DJ and some dance music right there, instead of having to go out to find the party scene.

bed very comfortable, balcony a very good size and lovely sea view, breakfast nice with a good selection. Bikes available and tennis courts at the back if you're feeling energetic!
The male staff could be more friendly and informative; we felt like we were inconveniencing them whenever we asked them anything at reception, hardly took their eyes away from the computer when answering your questions which we thought was strange. Same at checkout, never asked how everything was, only asked how we wanted to pay. We had to ask them questions because they were not forthcoming with the information when we arrived, i.e breakfast times, restaurants whereabouts, etc. Their English wasn’t great so maybe this was the reason so anyone staying there: the Breakfast is at 7.30 to 10am, there doesn’t seem to be a restaurant only if you’re half board (which we weren’t) as there was no menu otherwise you can go to Shalimar which is on the premises but it’s expensive even with the 20% discount and the choice is very limited and the bar is really pricey, two vodka and tonics and two becks cost 26 euro and was empty, not surprised with those prices!! Bar in reception of hotel much cheaper but not always staffed but there are plenty on the strip by beach. There is no indoor pool, this isn't something that would usually bother us but the weather was brutal (torrential rail) so that would have been great. I saw someone else’s comment about this but they still haven’t updated their website to remove it (and it looks really lovely) however in reality it’s been closed obviously for years, when we asked they shrugged their shoulders and said ‘they are working’, but we went and had a look and it was all dark with old furniture in front of doors but no sign of any workers...They used chlorine tablets in their outdoor adult and children’s pool which as far as I know is not correct, not sure whether it’s legal either unless their dosing system was temporary not working but it’s certainly not ideal. Last thing the ‘shower cream’ attached to the shower wall was actually dove hand cream....

A few young waitstaff were friendly and actually spoke to guests with friendly smiles and genuine care.
This hotel has declined horribly! The pool has moss growing on the sides and was filthy all during our stay, we feared algae in the water. The front desk staff are rude and sarcastic. The hallway flooring is so deteriorated, we had a dip in front of our room door. Adjoining rooms to this staff means connecting on the balcony - which is totally not adjoining rooms and they told us this after we asked for confirmation that our request could be met. And the city was doing road work, announced by signs on the side of the hotel where guests park; however, no notice was given to hotel guests. Just panic calls made when the tow truck arrived to take away a car. Free WiFi - not more than 5 hours a day and each day you need to get a new password...waiting at the front desk where you were made to feel like you were an 'interruption'. Sad to see this once pleasant place roll down hill so fast.

I absolutely loved the elegant and charming decoration throughout the hotel. The beautiful artwork and cozy seating areas created a warm and inviting atmosphere. As a senior woman, I appreciated the easy accessibility of the hotel with well-lit hallways and comfortable seating areas throughout. It made moving around the hotel a breeze, allowing me to relax and enjoy my vacation.
I wished the children working there could have been a bit more attentive to the needs of senior guests. A little more assistance and consideration would have made our vacation even better.

The hotel and resort is mainly used by Italians. Reception spoke good English the rest could not but they all made an effort to understand and were very friendly. The interior of the hotel has been recently refurbished except for the corridors. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast had variety including some hot food,The beach is long comprising of fine sand and thousands of sun beds and umbrellas. Most Bagnas had a little beach cafe. The promenade is long, has bar restaurants and extends into Viareggio which is central for transport - good little shops. Take the buses or hire a bike - thats the norm. The sea was warm!!

The location of this hotel is fantastic, just one block from the beach. It's so convenient to have the beach so close, and it's great that there are even private sections available. The service at this hotel is top-notch. The staff are friendly and helpful, from the manager to the maintenance men. They really go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. In terms of amenities, the room was well-equipped with everything I needed. It had tea and coffee facilities, a mini-bar, and a balcony. The in-room safe was also a nice touch. Additionally, the hotel provided free toiletries, which was a nice touch.
I had a great experience at this hotel and would highly recommend it to my family and friends.

Nice place, swiming pool, clean, well preserved, parking space.
It is overall an old hotel. Visitors of the city are 99% old people! Wifi was not working.

It was over priced for the facilities we received. The toaster was not always available at breakfast. The bread, boiled and scrambled eggs were missing on at least two days. Teapots were missing most days, as they were small cups very hard to make a cup of tea. The hotel reception did not have bus timetables available and they could have had other information about the resort. It would have been nice to have a kettle for tea and coffee available in the room. The television only had one english channel available.

The hotel is conveniently located near the beach in an area with around 60 beaches to choose from.
The hotel does not live up to its four-star rating. the rooms are outdated and need renovation, and the breakfast options are scarce.

reception area looked very smart and clean. the pool side was ideal for children with a large swimming pool. breakfast choice was very good catering for all tastes. parking facilities was also good with plenty of space.rooms had large child friendly balconies.
our bedroom curtains were worn, with holes in them and the wallpaper was peeling off at the edges. the room looked tired and needed a makeover. the air-con temperature could not be controlled manually.

Spent Christmas at this lovely hotel and was pleasantly surprised by the warm and inviting atmosphere. the hotel had a great pool area and a promenade nearby with a variety of restaurants to choose from. the staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. the availability of a computer and printer at the hotel helped us to plan our activities around the surrounding areas.
The breakfast could have been better, with limited options and push-button dispensers for juices. the hotel was a bit outdated compared to nearby options.

Nice balcony and sea view, big and clean pool, tidy and fresh room, good breakfast buffet.
The hotel is not worth four stars at all, it's rather a three stars hotel. The staff is not accommodating at all. We had two of our nights ruined because there were some parties arranged at the hotel. The first night the music was so loud that we could barely talk to each other in the hotel room even though we closed the doors/windows. When we complained in the reception we were told the music would stop at 11.30 pm but the noise didn't stop until hours later. The music was not quite as loud the second night but it was high enough to be disturbing and it didn't stop until around 1 am. We asked the staff for some sort of compensation. They did not at all understand our situation but promised to investigate what could be done. But we didn't get any reply and had to ask several times and explain the situation all over again. Finally we got a 10% discount for one night, although we clearly had two ruined nights at the hotel. We were so disappointed about the way we were treated and unfortunately we will never go back to this hotel because of this.

This hotel is nice. It had a nice room and great breakfast.
The location is good, but the hotel doesn't have beach access. It is a bit of a walk to the public access. It could also use some updates. The AC was very noisy and didn't work properly. The temperature could not be adjusted at all.
